From Palate to Palette -this is my story

I am a hotels and food photographer and hospitality consultant based in New Delhi, India.

As a young man, I always had my heart in creating gastronomic pleasure, and when it gave its rumbling call, I was prompt to listen, joining the kitchens of the Iconic Taj Mumbai as a Trainee Chef.

The years tumbled by and before the food turned cold, I had spent decades in the kitchens of luxury five-star hotels, plating out masterpieces to the delight of thousands of patrons at prestigious hotel-chains including the Taj, Marriott, Hyatt and Intercontinental groups.

My journey in hospitality, culinary craftsmanship and F&B management led me to open hotels, bars and restaurants and conjure numerous menus. But after a point, I pointed my passion for photography to my culinary creations and began to portray my love for cooking, hotels and indeed travel itself in spectacular images.

Today, it is this most unusual marriage of my passions that lends my photography with an unmatched depth and nuance that only a deep love and immense experience can conjure.

I know that hotels and food photography is not merely about light and perspective or bokeh and colours – these are necessary the way salt and sugar are to taste. But the essence of each image is in capturing the character of the resort and its cusine, its unique story and to communicate its taste, fragrance and ethos – in sum, “to turn the eyes into a pair of taste buds”.

And on these pages, you may taste them for yourself. As they seldom say in photography, bon appétit!
